DESCRIPTION:Cork Arts Society (now trading as Lavit Gallery) was established in 1963 to promote an appreciation of art in Cork. Membership was intended to fund the activities of the society and was open to all who shared a passion for art and related subjects. Our membership remains open to all and the annual fees are an important part of our annual income. As the vast majority of our members are artists we offer an annual exhibition as an exclusive submission opportunity for members and the fee for each artwork submitted is also intended as a supplementary fundraising exercise for the organisation.\n\n\n\n\nThis year an appointed panel of three guest selectors chose 79 out of the 223 artworks submitted by our artist members\, who range from amateur artists to seasoned professionals. Of the 89 members who submitted 52 will be exhibiting.
