DESCRIPTION:The Glucksman Craft & Design Fair is a highlight of Cork's cultural calendar and a fantastic opportunity to buy and give Irish this Chrismas.\n\nFor three days in mid November\, the Glucksman's award winning gallery spaces will be brimming with beautiful gifts and a seasonal occasson to acquire distinctive items to suit all ages and budgets. We're delighted to welcome Sonya Lennon to open this year's fair. Join us from 5 - 7pm on Friday evening for a glass of prosecco and an opportunity for some early Christmas shopping.\n\n\n\nThe opportunity to purchase crafts directly from the makers is an experience not to be missed\, featuring leading and emerging craftspeople selling their stunning designs in jewellery\, ceramics\, woodturning\, lighting\, textiles & new technologies.\n\nThroughout the Craft + Design Fair weekend\, the creative team at the Glucksman will run art workshops in the River Room enabling parents to shop and children to have fun making their own craft masterpieces. 5   12 year olds. LOCATION:The Glucksman is located on the campus of University College Cork\, Ireland and open to the public year round. The gallery building is situated in the picturesque lower grounds\, accessible from the Main Avenue through the Ceremonial Gates on Western Road. The gallery is a 10 minute walk from the city centre\, along Western Road. The gallery and the university are served by the No. 205 and no. 208 bus route\, stop at UCC. Parking is available on Donovans rd or in the UCC carparks over the duration of the weekend.
