SUMMARY:DONOVAN – Presented by The Headline Agency
DESCRIPTION:One of the most influential songwriters and recording artists working today\, Donovan returns to The Everyman stage to be once again a poet of current events \n\nDonovan will be playing all of his hits including 'Catch the Wind'\, 'Colours'\, 'Sunshine Superman'\, 'Mellow Yellow'\, 'Universal Soldier'\, 'Jennifer Juniper' and 'Hurdy Gurdy Man'.\n\nAt his induction into the R & R Hall of Fame in 2012 it was stated\, "Donovan singlehandedly initiated the Psychedelic Revolution with Sunshine Superman." He was 4 years younger than The Beatles\, Dylan and The Rolling Stones when he achieved all this. He had already scored 4 Top Twenty singles\, EPs and two albums in his so-called 'Folk Period' of early 1965. Donovan received the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for his very first song 'Catch the Wind'\, at 18 years young.\n\nNow living in North County Cork\, he and his wife Linda are both honorary Corkonians. He said\, "I especially chose Cork County venues as the first for me to return to Live Concerts\, after the long closure of concert halls\, to thank the people of Cork where Linda and I call home."\n\nDonovan will be playing this special show at The Everyman in Cork on Sun 29 May with support from Joolz Jones.
