DESCRIPTION:IVE AND A HALF LOVE STORIES IN AN APARTMENT IN VILNIUS is a collection of intertwined stories\, told through the eyes of an old AirBnB apartment. Within the walls of this apartment\, we witness five guests experiencing a crisis of love\, unaware of the stories that have transpired within the same walls and under the same bedsheets. \n\n \n\nMEGHAN\, an Irishwoman stuck in a frustrating marriage\, struggles with temptation during her younger sister's hen party. ISSA and GALIA\, an Israeli couple\, find their desire to get pregnant colliding with family legacy. PHILIP\, an aging Hungarian bachelor\, fights for a second chance with a local girl\, MYKOLAS\, a young stripper\, has his secret rendezvous interrupted by unexpected guests. Between each episode JOLANTA\, the quiet cleaning lady\, returns to wipe away the evidence of their joys and tragedies\, while her own delicate love story unfolds.\n\n \n\nBaltic Film Festival \n\nOver the last decades the film industry in the Baltic Region continues to grow into a dynamic\, creative and artistic platform reflecting its complex history and rich culture in the cinema. The third Baltic Film Festival in Ireland\, with three specially selected films from Estonia\, Lithuania and Latvia\, will offer a unique opportunity to learn more about the lives\, history and culture of the three Baltic states. \n\n \n\nAt 5.30pm on Friday 17 April before the screening of MARIA'S SILENCE\, there will be an opening night wine reception for the Baltic Film Festival. Ticket holders for MARIA'S SILENCE are welcome to attend. \n\n \n\nThe festival is supported by the Embassy of Estonia\, Embassy of Lithuania and Embassy of Latvia.
