DESCRIPTION:For the second instalment in the Cork University Business School\, UCC webinar series\, we are delighted to be joined by Dr Nick Chisholm from the MSc Food Security Policy and Management\, Dr Noreen Byrne and Dr Oliver Moore from the MSc Co-operatives\, Agri-Food and Sustainable Development\, and Ronan O'Farrell from the MSc Food Business and Innovation programme. \n\nIrish food and drink exports were valued at approximately 13 billion in 2019 and our products were sold in over 180 markets worldwide according to the Bord Bia Export Performance and Prospects 2019-2020 Report. This webinar examines the implications of COVID-19 on this crucially important sector and our Food Systems more generally. A range of topics will be discussed including: \n\n\n	\n	Irish food production during the lockdown\; \n	\n	\n	The resilience of Supply-Chains both domestically and internationally\; \n	\n	\n	New global trends emerging in food consumption in the current climate. \n	\n\n\nThe webinar is also an opportunity for existing and prospective students to learn more about three Food Business and Development courses which Cork University Business School offers at postgraduate level\, each of which focuses on different aspects of the modern Food Systems. \n\nOur three speakers will also discuss the relevance of their courses for students in the current climate and answer any questions you may have. All are welcome to attend.
