The Glucksman&rsquo\;s annual Craft + Design Fair is an event not to be missed and a highlight of Cork&rsquo\;s cultural calendar offering \;a fantastic opportunity to buy and give sustainable Irish gifts this Christmas.
\n\nFor three days in November\, the Glucksman&rsquo\;s award winning gallery spaces will be brimming \;with \;beautiful \;gifts and unique designs to suit all budgets. \;
\n\n55 craft makers \;and designers \;from all over the country will be participating in this year'\;s event across our three gallery floors including a dedicated display showcasing 6 emerging makers. \;The opportunity to support and purchase crafts directly from the makers is a unique experience\, featuring leading and emerging crafts makers selling their stunning designs in jewellery\, ceramics\, woodturning\, textiles\, illustrations\, furniture and more! \;
\n\nOn Friday \;the 10th of November at 5pm\, we will have the honour to welcome Michelle Carew\, Cork City Council Arts Officer to open this special event. \;
\n\nAwards \;will be announced that evening\, honouring the achievements of 3 participating craft makers and designers \;for the below categories: \;
\n\nBest Display\, \;
\n\nBest Newcomer\, \;
\n\nSustainability Champion \;
\n\nAlso this year\, we will be running series of 50 minutes long \;workshops for \;children between the age of 6 and 10 years old on \;Saturday \;and \;Sunday. While young makers are busy creating beautiful crafts\, their parents or guardians can browse the Fair or enjoy a coffee and a treat in \;Lé\;a&rsquo\;s \;café\;. \;
\n\nThroughout the year\, our gallery shop strives to have a unique offering of Irish produced crafts and designs with a strong focus on sustainability. The Craft + Design Fair is an opportunity to see some of the best of these craft makers under one roof. People can come and chat with them \,find out more about their products\, how it is made and the story behind it and find some unique gifts for friends and family just in time for Christmas! \;
