DESCRIPTION:The Grant Thornton Corporate 5K Team Challenge comes to The South Mall\, Cork this year on Wednesday\, 14 June from 7.50pm\n\n\n\nMaking a difference\n\nHealthy work force: These events encourage social running amongst the business communities in Cork\, helping to improve the health and wellness of the workforce and building team spirit.\n\n \n\nYoung athletes: Grant Thornton's support also makes a positive difference to young\, promising athletes in Ireland with event organisers Athletics Ireland channeling funds raised from these races into their Junior High Performance programme which enables these\n\nemerging athletes to fulfil their potential.\n\n \n\nAll participants are encouraged to fundraise for the chosen charity\, Make a Wish through mycharity.ie. Make a Wish grants wishes to children who are battling life-threatening illnesses. A wish gives a child the opportunity to be the centre of attention for all the right reasons\, it allows them to be a child again and reminds them that it is not the illness that makes them special.
