DESCRIPTION:Griffith College Cork Law Faculty looks forward to the launch of Law Faculty Programme Director\, Nicholas McMurry's book entitled\, 'Participation and Democratic Innovation under International Human Rights Law'.\n\n\n\nNicholas graduated with a PhD supervised by Prof Shane Darcy from the Irish Centre for Human Rights in the National University of Ireland\, Galway in September 2017.\n\nHe is a founding partner of Shared Insight\, and has carried out socio-legal research and advocacy for the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission\, the Mandaean Human Rights Group\, Respond! Housing Agency\, EIL Intercultural Learning and Cork City Council. \n\n \n\nNicholas will be joined in this celebration by Dr Patrick O'Mahony\, former Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Criminology at University College Cork\; Prof Vinodh Jaichand\, former Dean of the School of Law\, University of the Witwatersrand\, Johannesburg and former Director of the International Human Rights Exchange\, School of Social Sciences\, University of the Witwatersrand\, Johannesburg and Prof Diarmuid Hegarty\, President of Griffith College.
