DESCRIPTION:Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better. They are changing behaviour and cultures in their own businesses\, networks and communities and reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.\n\n\n\nTuesdays Lunchtime Learning is in anticipation of December 3rd\, 2019\, United Nation's International Day for Disabled Persons which celebrates the economic contributions made by the more than 1 billion disabled people globally. #PurpleLightUp encourages people to wear purple and businesses to light up purple (the colour for disability). In this session you will learn how becoming disability-smart and confident is a catalyst for making your organisation more productive\, profitable and effective. Clare will explore the importance of Employee Experience (EX)\, Customer Experience (CX) and User Experience (UX). This talk is aimed at all business owners\, progressive organisations\, employees and is particularly pertinent to D&I\, L&D and HR professionals looking to collaborate\, network and accelerate their workplace strategy and improve EX.\n\n\n\nBIO: Clare Kennelly is the founder of Inclusive Cork which is a Diversity and Inclusion training provider. She has given talks and delivered training at VMWare\, DePuy Synthes\, The Kingsley and Fota Hotel Collection\, UCC\, CIT and more. She is also the presenter of the DisruptAbility podcast which is a disability educational and information platform for all stakeholders.\n\n\n\nClare is a graduate of UCC with 26 years of eclectic teaching experience. In numerous roles she worked with students with varying disabilities and noticed that even though they were succeeding in education\, they met obstacles when looking for work placement and employment. Clare is vision impaired and her professional goal is to make Cork a leader in Inclusion and a great place to live and work for all.
