Teams\, each made up of three players will enjoy the day at one of Cork's finest courses\, all while helping to raise much needed funds for vital cancer research programmes. Golfers will also receive a delicious meal to enjoy in the clubhouse\, goodie bags and the chance to win some fantastic prizes on the day!\n\n\n\nWe are delighted for the continued support of the River Lee hotel who kindly provide amazing prizes for our golfers on the day! \n\n \n\nLast year's event raised over 10\,000 with the support and generosity of Cork businesses! Proceeds raised help fund the efficient and effective development of new treatments for the most difficult to treat cancers. Through support from events such as the Lee Valley Golf Classic\, in 2018 alone\, Breakthrough was able to fund 15 Research Project Grants which align with our vision of discovering and developing new and efficient treatments for poor prognosis cancers while ensuring that the patient is at the core of our efforts. Over the last number of years the research we have supported has led to seven cancer treatments coming from the laboratory to clinical trial.\n\n \n\nTeams are made up of three players and registration is available for 250 per team.
