\n\nMarie Therese Shortt is a Norwegian-Irish visual communicator specialised in the area of cross-cultural behavioural differences. She is the founder of CulturePro\, a Cork based company focused on helping culturally diverse teams and companies improve their communication and intercultural intelligence &ndash\; through workshops\, lectures and online training tools.
\n\n\;
\n\nMarie Therese&rsquo\;s curiosity and interest in cross-cultural communication started from childhood\, during which she instinctively found ways to navigate differences across her own two cultures &ndash\; Norwegian and Irish. This curiosity grew further through her travels around the world and from living in Norway\, England\, the Netherlands\, and Ireland\, and eventually led her to focus her PhD research on how to systematically visualise and communicate these differences. She has been invited to share her research at a number of international conferences in the UK\, France\, Ireland and Germany\, including at the UNESCO Digital Heritage International Congress and TEDx Hamburg. She founded CulturePro in 2017.

\n\nBrigid holds a degree in language and cultural studies from University College Cork and a Cambridge certificate in English language training. She has been training professionals in various industries in English for over 6 years and runs her own online language training business\, AllTalk Training.
\n\nHaving spent time working with professionals in Germany\, Spain\, Portugal and Brazil\, Brigid has seen that we\, native speakers of English\, can do much more to prevent costly cases of miscommunication in the international business world.
