SUMMARY:SATURATION: the everyday transformed
DESCRIPTION:Dragana Juri ic\, Ruth Medjber\, Michael Hanna\, Eva O'Leary\, P draig Spillane\, Conor Clinch\, Hazel Coonagh\, Megan Doherty\, C it Fahey\, Audrey Gillespie\, Vittoria Colonna\, Ayesha Ahmad and Niamh Swanton.\n\nSATURATION: the everyday transformed will explore remarkable bodies of work created by a young generation of artists who use photography to explore lives played out in front of them\, often creating or conveying a heightened experience through the use of colour.\n\nThe exhibition will embrace aspects of social media\, street photography\, music and fashion photography with elements of the documentary tradition to make for a display that is light-hearted\, if sometimes claustrophobic. Inevitably it will reflect\, if often only accidentally\, major changes in both society and technology\, how photographs are taken\, shared and consumed.\n\nSATURATION: the everyday transformed will focus on photography of contemporary life at the intersection of the quotidian\, or everyday and the fantastic or even surreal. It will explore what Susan Sontag termed 'Everyday life apotheosized the kind of beauty that only the camera reveals'.\n\nCurated by William Laffan and Dawn Williams \n\n\n\nSupported by Pat McDonnell Paints
