Founded in 1924 by Fr Christopher O'Flynn. The theatre\, up to the year 2000 was based out of the upper floor in Linehan's sweet factory John Redmond Street which is why it gained the moniker "The Loft". Since its inception\, the group has put on a variety of Shakespeare's works in various theatres in the city including the Cork Opera House and the Everyman Theatre.
