DESCRIPTION:UCC Law Society is delighted to launch it's 2019 Women In Law Forum.\n\n \n\nThe Forum is central to the topic of gender equality and womens progression in the workplace.\n\n \n\nThe format of the Forum will be presented in two main panel discussions\, entitled\;\n\n1. How Women have Contributed to Shaping The Law in Ireland Today.\n\nSpeakers include : \n\n\nSenator Alice Mary Higgins\n\nAilbhe Smyth (Founder of WERRC)\n\nMargaret Martin (Director of Women's Aid)\n\nFiona Finn (CEO of NASC)\n\n \n\n\n \n\n2. The 'Glass Ceiling' Structural Mechanism with regards Women attaining Senior Positions in the Legal Sphere.\n\nSpeakers include:\n\nJustice Mary Ellen Ring\n\nEileen Roberts (Partner of A&L Goodbody)\n\nDr.Myra Cullinane (Dublin City Coroner)\n\nProf. Irene Lynch Fannon (UCC School of Law)\n\n \n\nThis year we are giving the proceeds of tickets to The Sexual Violence Centre Cork. We are delighted to honour the truly invaluable service offered by the Centre and strongly encourage all donations.\n\n \n\nThe Forum is completely open to the public and everyone can attend\, student or otherwise.\n\nIn addition\, if you are a legal professional and wish to attain CPD points\, please contact wilfcommittee@ucclawsociety.com where we will forward on further details.\n\n \n\nWe would like to kindly thank our sponsers A&L Goodbody for their continued support.
