This year you will have a unique opportunity to purchase art works made especially for the event from up-and-coming and well established artists at affordable prices\, whilst supporting your local artists community.\n\n\n\nBackwater Artists Group is a supportive space for artists\, in the heart of Cork City. We have been supporting artists for over 34 years. Our annual Winter Salon fundraiser is an essential lifeline for the organisation and ensures we can continue to support artists by delivering a programme of developmental supports and keeping our fees affordable. Recently\, the cost-of-living crisis has grown exponentially and has impacted practicing artists making organisation such as ourselves even more crucial to artists to ensure that they have secure and affordable workspaces and access to the necessary supports and opportunities needed to sustain their careers. By supporting this fundraiser you will have a unique opportunity to support your local arts community and enrich the cultural life of Cork city.\n\n\n\nAll works available at Winter Salon will be A4 & A5 size on paper and will be sold at 150 and 200. The artworks have been specifically made for the event and generously donated by our 100 members\, in support of the organisation.\n\n\n\nFor the duration of our Winter Salon event\, we will also offer you other opportunities to support us.\n\n\n\nWe will raffle a selection of beautiful original artworks by artists Debbie Godsell\, Oonagh Hurley\, Ciara Rodgers\, Deirdre O'Mahony\, Lynn Marie Dennehy and Bernadette Tuite. The raffle will be launched on the opening night with tickets available to purchase from 25th October until the 20th December from our sales desk\, and on our website at www.backwaterartists.ie.\n\n \n\nTo further celebrate the work of our members we will have a Members Exhibition in The Long Space gallery. Here you will be able to purchase artworks from a selection of emerging and established artists from across our memberships.\n\n\n\nAll artworks will also be available to purchase online.
