This unique event invites you to immerse yourselves in a sensory exploration. We hope you will join us for this exceptional evening of wine and art. \n\n\n\nBoursot Wines is a prestigious wine merchant located in Ardres\, northern France\, offering a carefully hand-picked selection of premium French and South African wines. Led by Guy Boursot\, a wine expert with over four decades of experience and a family heritage in the wine trade spanning more than 400 years\, the business specialises in wines from renowned and smaller vineyards across France's and South Africa's most iconic regions. With a strong focus on quality\, value\, and personal service\, Boursot Wines caters to discerning wine lovers\, particularly from the Ireland & the UK. Boursot Wines has recently expanded into the Irish market\, bringing its renowned selection of premium wines to a new audience. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in the company's growth\, allowing Irish wine enthusiasts to access the exceptional and meticulously picked collection that has made Boursot Wines a respected name in the industry. \n\n\n\nCollecting Art \n\n\n\nAll welcome. No booking required. \n\n\n\nSaturday 10 October\, 12pm \n\n\n\nThis talk and tour by Lavit Gallery Director Brian Mac Domhnaill will provide an overview of the artists and artwork in the exhibition and provide suggested strategies for building an art collection however modest or grand. This is an ideal opportunity for those wondering how to best grow their art collection. \n\n\n\nArtists \n\n\n\nArtists will include Robert Ballagh\, Katherine Boucher Beug\, Rebecca Bradley\, Diarmuid Breen\, Patricia Burns\, Anna Campbell\, Patrick Cashin\, Tom Climent\, William Crozier\, Tom Doig\, Randall Exon\, Angela Fewer\, Bridget Flannery\, Pauline Flynn\, Conrad Frankel\, Mags Geaney\, Tim Goulding\, Joseph Heffernan\, Carol Hodder\, Ian Humphreys\, Jo Kelley\, Gary Kearney\, John Kennedy\, Aleksandra Kowalczyk\, No l O'Callaghan\, Eilis O'Connell\, Charlo Quain\, Victor Richardson\, Vivienne Roche\, Brian Smyth\, and Hanneke van Ryswyk. \n\n\n\nHighlights \n\n\n\nHighlights include two newly sourced original watercolours by the late West-Cork-based artist William Crozier along with some prints that are also new to Lavit Gallery. Celebrated Irish sculptor John Behan is making two new bronze bulls for the show and there are works on paper by Vivienne Roche and Eilis O'Connell. This includes unique colour studies by Roche dating to 1975. There will also be a painting of Brian Boru by Robert Ballagh. \n\n\n\nContext \n\n\n\nAs a not-for-profit arts organisation Lavit Gallery does not offer representation to artists\, instead opting to introduce new artists to our audience on a rolling basis as well as maintaining longstanding relationships with a selection of artists. As such\, both new and familiar names can be included in seasonal group exhibitions and solo shows. Selection is made based on quality and commercial appeal and a limited number of pieces by the most saleable artists is retained in stock between shows. \n\n\n\nLavit Gallery is now in the process of developing a new regular feature in our programme that will focus on the most established artists with whom the organisation has a working relationship\, whilst also including a small selection of emerging artists whose work is of an equal caliber and has already proven popular with our audience. Unlike our seasonal show\, this will not be a platform for trying out new artists\, but rather a showcase of undisputed talent and salability. \n\n\n\nThis concept builds on the legacy and heritage of the exclusive Cork Arts Society Exhibition (C.A.S.E.) of previous decades and launches this year with the working title 'Works from Stock'. For the time being this exhibition will be programmed bi-annually with the longer lead-in giving greater opportunity to build and refresh stock to optimise the quality of what is displayed and its appeal to collectors nationwide. \n\n\n\nThe inaugural display will feature all works in stock by some artists and single pieces by others. \n\n\n\nFor all sales enquires please contact Lavit Gallery on 0214277749 or info@lavitgallery.com
