About Us

Sheenco Travel is an Irish-owned private tour operator arranging travel across Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales for primarily North American guests. Genevieve Sheehan founded the company in 2012 from the far end of West Cork and it has been run from Ireland ever since.

Its guests are well-traveled North Americans who book directly with the company rather than through an agent. Sheenco Travel Specialists across the United States and Canada plan each trip from scratch with the guest. The operations team in Ireland manages every arrangement and looks after guests on the ground while they travel. That team has worked remotely from the start, so Sheenco employs people in rural Ireland rather than from a city office.

Much of what Sheenco offers comes from relationships built over years with Irish driver/guides, estate owners, golf clubs, hotels and the families behind the places guests visit. Each trip brings North American visitors, and their spending, to Irish businesses, from Hayfield Manor in Cork city to the Old Head of Kinsale. Ireland and Scotland are the core of the program.

Sheenco takes a small number of guests each year, and no two itineraries are the same. The company has a US entity incorporated in Texas and a Canadian entity incorporated in Alberta, with all delivery remaining in Ireland.
