About Us

The Lavit Gallery, for over 50 years, has been promoting and selling the work of local, national, and international artists, here in Cork City. We programme a series of exhibitions and display a wide range of fine art and craft. We are a not-for-profit registered charity and operate as a commercial entity.

The Lavit programmes prominent solo exhibitions, group shows, and supports emerging artists and recent graduates through its annual exhibition prize.

The Gallery is located on the ground-floor of a repurposed maltings building, which is also home to two other Arts organisations, Backwater Artists Group and Cork Printmakers. The bright, open space gallery, is flooded with natural light, and features strong architectural forms from its historic past, while offering the perfect space to showcase Contemporary Art.
