NetApp choosing Cork for its international headquarters a big win, says Cork Chamber

-500 new jobs a major step forward for the regeneration of the South Docks-

Cork Chamber, the voice of business in Cork, welcomes the creation of 500 new jobs at NetApp’s offices and new international headquarters in Cork’s South Docks.

“This is great news for Cork, attracting a global technology company to create 500 jobs, both technical and non-technical, here by 2025. NetApp’s decision shows Cork is the destination of choice for global technology companies. The outstanding talent pool and business environment here were two of the key reasons NetApp chose Cork, which is a real vote of confidence in the city and region. Great recognition is due to IDA Ireland in securing this investment,” said Conor Healy, CEO Cork Chamber.

“Having an innovative leader in cloud technology at Navigation Square kickstarts the regeneration of Cork’s South Docks. We are confident it will be the first of many such announcements by leading companies. Cork is a city on the rise and attracting the next generation of technology companies to locate here will just enhance its standing as a globally attractive location for foreign direct investment.”

“This announcement increases the importance of building upon the already vibrant business community in Cork. The delivery of sustainable infrastructure and transport plans in the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy and development that keeps place-making at its heart is key to continually attracting such investments."
