The most innovative of Cork businesses were tonight presented with the prestigious Cork Company of the Year Awards 2019 at Cork Chamber’s sold-out Annual Dinner held in Cork City Hall.
Over 1,000 people, including leading industry and political figures as well as guest of honour President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, attended the dinner, which also celebrated the 200th anniversary of Cork Chamber.
Run in association with Vodafone Ireland, the Awards involve a thorough four month judging process with an experienced mix of business professionals from across the business community. The overall Cork Company of the Year 2019 winner was awarded to Zenith Technologies, which powers patient health by delivering manufacturing software globally to the life science sector.
Accepting the award on behalf of Zenith Technologies, Executive Chairman and Founder Brendan O’Regan, said: “This award reflects an overnight success twenty years in the making and is a tremendous recognition of the effort and quality of the whole team at Zenith Technologies. As a Cork founded company, and Irish multinational, it is truly an honour to be considered in the same league as previous winners and to be celebrated in our home city. I’d like to thank all my colleagues for making this happen and I look forward to seizing new opportunities that undoubtedly will arise from receiving this award.”

Cork Emerging Company of the Year 2019 was awarded to Verifish whose platform supports sustainability and food safety in seafood.
Cork SME Company of the Year 2019 was won by O’Flynn Medical, who offer the sale, rental, service and decontamination of a wide range of quality medical equipment.
Cork Large Company of the Year 2019 was won by Wisetek, a global service provider of I.T recycling, manufacturing and data sanitisation services.
Cork Corporate of the Year 2019 and Overall Cork Company of the Year 2019 was won by Zenith Technologies, which powers patient health by delivering manufacturing software globally to the life science sector.
