A CORK CHRISTMAS CAROL – Presented by The Everyman and Cada

A CORK CHRISTMAS CAROL – Presented by The Everyman and Cada

The greatest Christmas Classic of them all, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, has been adapted by Catherine Mahon-Buckley, assisted by Ciaran Bermingham, for live audio broadcast as part of our Play it by Ear programme for Christmas.

Come together with your household or online with friends and family, far or near, to take part in the music and merriment of this uplifting story, joyously adapted with a very Cork flavour!

The tale recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean -spirited and selfish old miser on one cold Christmas Eve.  Unkind and horrible, he refuses to give to charity and is rude to his kind nephew when invited to spend Christmas with him and his family. But, on that cold Christmas Eve night, Scrooge is visited by a ghost…

Charles Dickens holds up the mirror to each of us to examine our own journey in this life; the opportunities we have wasted, the little unkindness’s we may have made. And, if we do not change, what awaits us?

A Cork Christmas Carol is suitable for the whole family, and it will make us think of love, magic, and hope for a better life.
