A Joyful Square Dance
Dance Cork Firkin Crane is excited to invite you to join us for A Joyful Square Dance, a free, outdoor dance performance by Inma Pavon and ten dancers on Thursday 11 June on O’Connell Square (between The Firkin Crane and The Butter Museum in Shandon).
A Joyful Square Dance is a participatory dance project by Dance Cork Firkin Crane led by Inma Pavon and features a group of community participants who have been training over the last number of weeks.
Celebrating the work that is happening within the walls of the Firkin Crane as well as the new roof over our heads, and bringing dance outside for the public to enjoy, the performance invites you to share the energy and inspiration of being part of a dance class.
There are two performances to choose from at 12pm and 1:30pm, lasting 30mins each. All Welcome, bring a friend, no booking required. We would love to see you there.
This project is a programme of the Government’s Public Art: Per Cent for Art Scheme following recent roof refurbishment works carried out at Dance Cork Firkin Crane that were funded primarily by Cork City Council and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.
