Building Inclusive Spaces: Empowering Employers and Employees
The Sustainable Cork Programme (SCP) webinar series is designed to set a vision for a more sustainable and resilient Cork, empowered by a thriving business community.
Inclusion is not just a buzzword; it's a fundamental principle that drives the progress of our society. In Ireland around one in nine people have some form of disability, however there is only a 30% participation rate in the workforce for people with disabilities representing a significantly untapped proportion of the workforce.
Studies have shown that employees who feel included, valued, and respected at work and within their work environment are more productive and have lower rates of absenteeism. By co-creating inclusive workplaces and communities for people of all abilities we can break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, foster diverse perspectives and innovation, expand the talent pool, enhance productivity and engagement and promote a positive environment for all employees.
