Communicating Europe: Cork's Place in Europe - Next Generation EU
Cork's Place in Europe - Next Generation EU
The Irish Department of Foreign Affairs has selected Cork Chamber to roll out a Communicating Europe Initiative aimed at deepening public awareness of the role the EU plays in our daily lives and at improving the quality and accessibility of public information on European issues, particularly at regional or national level.
Many of the challenges and opportunities that we face today are global and we cannot address these on our own. Our programme 'Cork's Place in Europe - Next Generation EU'' has two phases - a survey and a public event offering an opportunity to have your say and on decisions and policies shaped at European level.
Specifically, Ireland is set to receive almost €1 billion in grants from the European Union to support Ireland's recovery and resilience plan, of which 42% will go to climate objectives and 32% to digital objectives. The plan forms part of an unprecedented coordinated EU response to the COVID-19 crisis. It should support city regions such as Cork to address challenges by embracing the green and digital transitions, to strengthen economic and social resilience and the cohesion of the Single Market.
Please complete this SURVEY. It will help inform our Communicating Europe initiative and convey the views of Cork Chamber's members and stakeholders.
All complete surveys will be entered into a draw for a €200 Cork ChamberGift Card which can be spent in hundreds of businesses across Cork.
Participate in an upcoming event on 19 October which will shine light on role the EU plays in your life/business as well as Cork's role as a thriving European city driven by an international outlook.
