Concert for Conservation - Big Cat Conservation

Concert for Conservation - Big Cat Conservation

Concert for Conservation –all profits to go to Big Cat conservation
Featuring the string quartet – Cascade Strings

In the Auditorium in the newly opened Education, Conservation and Research Centre at Fota Wildlife Park.

Enjoy a captivating evening of music with Cascade Strings, a talented Cork-based string quartet, as they present classical interpretations of feline-themed favourites like Eye of the Tiger and The Lion Sleeps Tonight!

The concert is held in support of big cat conservation organisations such as the Wildcats Conservation Alliance and Fota’s own endangered species breeding programmes and conservation support for Asian lion, Sumatran tiger and the Northern cheetah.

The Wildcats Conservation Alliance works to safeguard Amur leopards and tigers and the endangered Sumatran tiger, a species you can visit at Fota Wildlife Park. The Wildcats Conservation Alliance supports on-the-ground monitoring teams in Kerinci Seblat National Park, who play a crucial role in protecting Sumatran tigers from poaching, illegal logging, and unauthorised plantation clearing.

The event will be hosted in the auditorium of Fota Wildlife Park’s newly opened Education, Conservation and Research Centre. Doors will open at 6.45pm and the Concert for Conservation will start at 7.30pm sharp. The event will include a short presentation on the big cat species at Fota Wildlife Park, and the conservation efforts being undertaken to help save these species from extinction. An hour-long concert from the string quartet, Cascade Strings will follow.

Cascade Strings are known for their versatility, specialising in professional wedding music and performing at various events across Ireland. All members are graduates of the MTU Cork School of Music, and they bring their expert training and passion to every performance.

Tickets for the concert are priced at €25 (plus a booking fee) and are available on Eventbrite. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased in advance at the gates, or at reception, at Fota Wildlife Park.

We look forward to seeing you at Fota Wildlife Park on 9th November for an evening of beautiful music in aid of a very worthy cause!
