Cork English College's Evening Classes

Cork English College’s Evening General English course is perfect for those working in a company who wish to improve their English. It is aimed at the individual learner who wants to improve their English or take an exam, and for companies who want to use this as a form of retention for employees. CEC is the authorised testing centre for Cambridge, OET, IELTS, TOEIC and many other exams. Upon successful completion of an evening course at CEC, each student will receive a certificate detailing their level, the dates of the course and the number of hours studied.

CEC’s Evening Class options include General English, Business English, IELTS Preparation and Cambridge Preparation. CEC’s Evening General English course focuses on effective communication and has a multi-layered syllabus which includes comprehensive work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. New vocabulary is introduced and practised at every stage of the lesson and particular attention is paid to high frequency, internationally useful words and phrases. Special emphasis is given to communicating effectively and accurately, and error correction plays an important role in classes. New language is practised through meaningful speaking tasks and discussions, which include regular integrated work on pronunciation.
