The Cork Institute of Technology will be holding an Innovation Week from the 6th of March until the 10th. Innovation Week celebrates and encourages innovation through a variety of events and displays. The event will also include talks from local entrepreneurs, sharing their experience and insights into their entrepreneurial journey.
CIT's Innovation Week has been running since 2010 and has had great success since then in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship to it's students. There will be competitions run within CIT as part of Innovation week such as CIT prize for Innovation where student can showcase their innovative ideas and be in with a chance to win a potential prize fund of €13,000.
The event will be spread out across all campuses of CIT with events being held in Blackrock Castle, Crawford College of Art & Design and the CIT Cork school of music and will cover a variety of topics such as talks on female entrepreneurship, the importance of digital marketing and the journey that local entrepreneurs have taken in order to create and manage a successful business.
