Embedding Circularity into Business Models: Building Sustainable, Resilient & Competitive Industries

The Sustainable Cork Programme (SCP) is designed to set a vision for a more sustainable and resilient Cork, empowered by a thriving business community. 

Join us for our in-person Sustainable Cork Programme 2025 event at Nano Nagle Place where we will discuss Circular Economy and how Irish businesses can drive competitiveness through sustainable design for circularity, repurposing waste as resource and extending the life cycle of products. 

This is an EU Green Week Partner Event, as designated by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Environment.

Rosie Fuller, Account Manager, FoodCloud

Rosie Fuller is an experienced account manager at FoodCloud, a tech based, non-profit, social enterprise. FoodCloud, the winner of the All Ireland Sustainability Awards Winner 2023, tackles the twin issues of food waste and food insecurity to fight climate breakdown and poverty both in Ireland and Internationally. 


Robert O'Mahony, Head of Sustainability, Global Operations, Logitech

Robert O’Mahony leads an international, multi-disciplinary team as Head of Global Sustainability for Logitech. In his role, Robert is responsible for driving Logitech’s sustainability commitments and progress across its worldwide operations, products, and supply chains. He is also responsible for building strong business relationships and partnerships that strategically advance sustainability within the company.

  
Dr. Blathnaid McPolin, Resource Use and Circular Economy Lead, ESB

 Blathnaid is the Resource Use and Circular Economy Lead for ESB. She studied Microbiology at Trinity College Dublin and Imperial College London before completing a PhD in Environmental Microbiology and Electrochemistry at Queen’s University Belfast, where she investigated bioremediation techniques.

Dr. Alicia Mateos-Cárdenas, REEValue & Sustainability Lead, Cork Chamber

Alicia leads the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the Value Chain REEValue project, funded by the European Commission. Additionally, she serves as a central, cross-functional lead for all Chamber sustainability activities, collaborating closely with the senior management team and the Sustainability Committee. Alicia holds a PhD in Environmental Science and has been designated as a 2025 Climate Ambassador by An Taisce.
