Embracing Equity: Achieving Equity through Equality
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.
As we draw closer to International Women's Day 2023, JCI Cork is happy to announce a panel discussion and focus workshop on the theme of 'Equity in Education'. We have 2 amazing speakers renowned across Ireland in the field of advocating for education for women especially those wh missed out on learning opportunities due to 'family first' commitments and those coming from minority and underprivileged background.
-
We will learn how these two guests work in their respective fields and how they themselves overcame this adversity and now passing on their learnings to the future generation.
-
We will then break-out into rooms and discuss possible ways to further our goal of embracing equity to achieve equality
-
Finally gather as a group and discuss ideas that can potentially have maximum impact
