Enterprise Europe Network Cork has launched a series of themed seminars to help build SMEs’ capacity and awareness of international opportunities.
Cork Chamber members and SMEs in Cork have identified resources, time, market intelligence, access to finance and sourcing talent for business development as key challenges when looking to export and internationalise their business.
This series aims to support companies who have never internationalised or those who are currently doing so but wish to develop their strategy. Avail of this opportunity to develop an informed approach to internationalising and lay a good foundation for future success.
13th February - Seminar 1 (9.30am-4.15pm)
Market analysis – target the right international markets
SME’s frequently approach export/internationalisation in reaction to opportunities which arise. Take advantage of this session to develop your strategy, identify if internationalisation right for your business and improve your market knowledge and intelligence.
27th February - Seminar 2 (9.30am-4.15pm)
Cross-cultural communication to boost your international business relationships
Use language and cultural know how to overcome communication challenges and avoid communication breakdown. Learn how to respond appropriately in various business-related situations while building trust to ultimately, save time and money and to ensure success in your target markets.
13th March- Seminar 3 (9.30am-4.15pm)
Build the right international market partnerships
It is often expensive and difficult for an SME to establish suitable, trustworthy relationships in overseas markets. Develop a sound approach to finding and establishing winning partnerships and developing sales channel partners.

This series is open to all SMEs at the subsidised rate of 60 euro for three seminars.
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is a European Commission-funded programme, with over 600 contact points across the EU and beyond. The Irish Consortium is led by Enterprise Ireland and other partners include the Local Enterprise Office, Cork Chamber and Dublin. EEN is international in its focus and supports SMEs to find international business partners for growth and innovation.
