We are delighted to share that Arachas is back this year as a long standing supporter of Rory's Miles to Mayo in aid of Cancer Fund for Children, supporting children and their families impacted by cancer.
From Saturday 12th-20th September, rugby legend, Rory Best will captain a team of business leaders, including Arachas colleagues, on a powerful journey to walk 9 marathons in 9 days, covering over 235 miles throughout Ireland.
The challenge starts in Derry and continues to Belfast, Dublin, Kildare, Carlow, Cork, Limerick and Galway before finishing in Cong, Co. Mayo, where a second Daisy Lodge is being built and is scheduled to open in Spring 2027.
To mark the Cork leg of this mammoth challenge, Arachas is hosting breakfast at Cork Constitution F.C on Thursday, September 17th at 7.30am.
Marie Crowe, sports journalist and broadcaster will moderate a panel with Rory, joined by Olympic Medalist, Broadcaster and author Sonia O' Sullivan, Hurling legend, Sean Og O'hAilpin and Cork Con Captain, David Hyland, for what promises to be a lively exchange about their lives as sportspeople and giving back to charities and local communities.
We would love for you to join us for breakfast, the panel and to wish the walkers well as they head off.?You are also welcome to join us on our walk for the first 5km until Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre.
