More about this subject:
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires companies to ensure that their products are “deforestation-free,” meaning they must not be produced on land that has been deforested since December 31, 2020.
The EUDR covers a wide range of commodities, including cattle, cocoa, coffee, soy, palm oil, rubber, and wood, as well as products made from these materials. Businesses across various sectors, such as food and beverages, agriculture, manufacturing, and retail, will need to comply with strict due diligence requirements, including providing detailed information about the origin and production of these commodities. Companies that fail to meet the due diligence process requirements risk facing hefty penalties.
