Greening Our City - How will the Cork City Development Plan Green Our City?

Cork Chamber has teamed up with SHEP Earth Aware, Green Spaces for Health, Cork Healthy Cities and the Environmental Research Institute, UCC for this informative webinar series to showcase examples from other countries and discuss the many ways we can make Cork a greener city!

This webinar will provide an opportunity to hear from Fearghal Reidy, Director of Strategic & Economic Development, Cork City Council on the the Draft Cork City Development Plan 2022-2028.

Cork City Council has started the preparation of a new Cork City Development Plan 2022-2028. This is a 2-year process, which evolves through various stages in line with Planning and Development Legislation. Please refer to our Process Overview document for details on the plan process.

Following the first stage of public consultation (Issues Paper) held summer 2020, Cork City Council has prepared the Draft Cork City Development Plan 2022-2028. The Draft Plan builds on a series of strategic themes including compact growth, the 15-minute city, climate change, social inclusion, sustainable and active travel, providing homes, economy, health, education, biodiversity, placemaking and sport and recreation.
