University College Cork (UCC) has been repeatedly ranked as one of the top universities in the world for making an impact on creating a sustainable future.
Additionally, UCC was the only Irish university with official observer status at Cop26. As a research intensive university and student community of over 22,000, it is committed to using the knowledge emanating from research to address the welfare of humankind and the global environment.
In this webinar we will hear from Dr Maria Kirrane, Sustainability Officer, University College Cork about the work of the UCC Green Campus team in promoting and supporting grassroots change in the universities day-to day sustainability practices, and Professor John O’Halloran, President, University College Cork about the overarching ambition of the university and its responsibility to lead the way in securing a sustainable future.
