How to Save Advertising in the Digital Age with the Marketing Institute of Ireland Cork

What: ‘How to Save Advertising in the Digital Age’ with The Marketing Institute Cork (MII Cork).

When: Wednesday, October 11th 2017, 6pm to 8pm.
Where:  Cork City Hall Atrium, Cork City.

Who: Keynote speaker, Jonathan Forrest of In the company of Huskies will outline how to solve the problems of brands and business in the Digital Age, and how he led his pack to become Ireland’s largest and most awarded Digital Agency.
 
The event, explore how the power of technology is increasing exponentially and, as the price of it reduces inversely, there’s no sign that our love affair with all things digital will ever wain.
 
How we connect, communicate and consume has changed forever and we're only at the beginning of this seismic adoption. As a consequence, the industrial complex for traditional advertising and tradigital are in decline. Technology is the new enabler to our better selves, and the brands that thrive in the next 10 years will create experiences for people that, in small and brilliant ways, make their world a better place.

Chair of MII Cork Maressa Mills will also launch MII Cork’s calendar of fantastic events for the year ahead, spanning across all marketing platforms and industries.

he Marketing Institute of Ireland Cork (MII Cork), Ireland’s voice of marketing and home of senior marketing professionals, is set to launch its 2017/2018 calendar of events at 6pm on Wednesday next, the 11th of October at Cork City Hall Atrium.
Entitled ‘How to Save Advertising in the Digital Age’, the keynote speaker on the night will be the alpha of Dublin based creative communications agency In the company of Huskies, Jonathan Forrest.

Forrest, Founder and CEO of In the company of Huskies, will address marketing professionals, business owners and those interested in marketing and digital, and outline how he led his pack to become Ireland’s largest and most awarded Digital Agency. Founded in 1999, today In the company of Huskies is a creative agency with deep digital DNA bred to solve the problems of brands and business.

Maressa Mills, this year’s Chair of MII Cork and Customer Success Manager with Poppulo will direct proceedings at the launch, outlining the many innovative and educational strands to her programme of events for the coming year (October 2017 to May 2018). In advance of the event, Mrs. Mills told us;   

“I am jumping out of my skin for this year’s calendar of events and am very proud to be Chair this year with the support of The Evening Echo and Cork’s 96FM and C103 as media sponsors.  My Vice-Chair Ray Lougheed of Admirror, our excellent committee and I have come up with some fantastic events for the year ahead, spanning across all marketing platforms and industries.  My predecessors have really brought the Marketing Institute Cork to the fore in terms of expertise in our profession and we aim to build on that over the coming year and beyond. Having Jonathan on board as our first expert speaker is just an example of our commitment to excellence this year.  Jonathan not only heads up In the company of Huskies but he also sits on the national board for the Marketing Institute of Ireland so he will have all the tricks of the trade to share with our guests on the night.”
