Inspire Challenge - Hike Carrauntoohil 9th September

AsIAm invites you join us in the Inspire Challenge of Hiking Irelands Highest Peak? Carrauntoohil in 2023 This is the first event of our Inspire series and we intend to climb the iconic and inspirational Carrauntoohil ? Irelands highest peak. 

Our Inspire Challenge of Hiking Carrauntoohil is inspirational in nature and offers individuals and groups the opportunity to take on a challenge and to support AsIAm by creating an income stream of corporate and individual donations and/or Fundraising. It is aimed at people who may have this hike or climb on their to do list or as part of their bucket list for themselves! 

Or you may wish want to remember someone that was close to you or inspired you in life or career! Or who can to support our campaign of social change aiming to give everyone on the autistic spectrum the Same Chance in life. Or indeed just to celebrate being alive. Whatever the inspiration might be join the Inspire Challenge? Hike Carrauntoohil. We offer this hike with trained guides and supports around the journey on the day, what to wear , how to get there, what to wear etc.

Our Inspire Challenge Hike takes place on  Saturday 9th September 2023, with the start time of 9.30am from our base at Cronins Yard. Our expected time of return will be 5pm. Our target figure of participants has a limit of 40 on it due to restrictions on group size and our hope is to generate €40,000 with a deposit of €50 per person to book a place and a fundraising target of €500 and perhaps a little north of this. 

This is a real opportunity feel inspired, hike Irelands highest peak and to fundraise for AsIAm. We have an information pack prepared with tips and hints as to what to expect on the day as well as how to prepare. A ?50 Deposit secures your place with a Fundraising target set at €500 per person.

Note: Prior hiking experience is advantageous, but a good level of fitness certainly is an absolute must. Difficult weather conditions to be expected with underfoot conditions at times poor, rough and uneven in sections. Possibility of longer sections of steeper ground with rocky terrain / scree at times.
