Island City - Cork's Urban Sculpture Trail: Guided Tour

Take part in a guided walking tour of Island City: Cork’s Urban Sculpture Trail led by Sample-Studios’ Art Historian and sculpture specialist Dr Matthew Whyte. The tour is FREE but booking is essential.

A series of innovative access services are available during this tours. These services include:

• ISL interpretation
• Assisted listening technology
• Tactile resources
• Audio description via NaviLens codes

Suitable for all ages, including children from ages 6+ accompanied by an adult.

Walking tours will involve moving across the city centre, including crossing streets and mounting kerbs. While the tours welcome all participants, the nature of the route and the duration of the tours may prove challenging for some people with disabilities.

Sample-Studios in partnership with Cork City Council will be offering a series of monthly tours of Island City Urban Sculpture Trail throughout 2025. Future dates will be announced on a rolling basis so stay tuned for updates.
