The 4^th Annual John Saul Picnic & Vintage Fair at Castlemartyr Resort

Castlemartyr Resort is delighted to be hosting the 4^th annual John Saul Picnic & Vintage Fair on Bank Holiday Monday, 1st August 2016 from 12 noon to 5pm in aid of ‘My Place’ Midleton, Castlemartyr GAA, Castlemartyr Community Council and Mogeely Vintage.
 
Set to be bigger and better than ever, this year’s picnic will provide, great food and a fun day for all the family, and with a large number of food stalls, the 4th annual John Saul Picnic and Vintage Fair will be a busy and exciting day out. With entry on the day at just €5 per adult and free entry for children.
 
The front paddocks of Castlemartyr Resort will be transformed with entertainment and events for all ages from young tots to grandparents. Activities will include a sports day, puppet shows, face painters, vintage machinery and cars, a gala of horse drawn carriages, children’s pottery station, a Teddy Bears’ Hospital where you can bring along your injured or damaged bears and have them mended by the experts for a small donation!
 
On board this year to host the Vintage Fayre in the Capel Suite is Lesley Anne Liddane of “Absolutely Fab Les Events”, who hosts popular vintage fairs in the Munster region and is a regular visitor to the vintage quarter in Cork.  Lesley Anne is very much looking forward to bringing some vintage vibes to this year’s picnic at Castlemartyr Resort.
 
The John Saul Picnic will take place at Castlemartyr Resort’s magnificent grounds where guests can bring along their own picnic and lounge on a blanket on the lawn and savor some of the region’s finest foods and refreshing drinks being sold from the stalls full of fantastic fare, including hot dogs, burgers, gourmet sausages, crepes and delicious doughnuts not to mention the juicy pig on a spit and a selection of ice cream vendors for dessert.
 
Wander through the stalls and displays, enjoying the colourful spectacle, with lots to see and do from live music, dancing and entertainment and old style threshing. Don your finest vintage attire as there’ll be a Best Dressed Competition with some fantastic prizes too!
 
Commenting on the return of the 4th annual John Saul Picnic and Vintage Fair, Cathal Lynch, General Manager, Castlemartyr Resort said “We are delighted to announce the return of this superb event for the fourth year running. It has proven to be great success and a fantastic day out with this year set to be even bigger and better than ever. In aid of ‘My Place’ Midleton this is an opportunity to appreciate the historical landscape surrounding Castlemartyr Resort in a different way, and the chance to linger a while for some great food, live music and roving entertainment, all with a vintage twist!”
