Lunchtime Learning: Big Brands for Small Businesses

Lunchtime Learning: Big Brands for Small Businesses

Taking the principles used when branding large companies or organisations and applying them to the situation of start ups and small business. Helping them to understand the importance of establishing a well conceived brand and the commercial advantages that can deliver.

Building a strong brand is important for any business, big or small. Doing so relies on forming a clear understanding of identity, purpose, point of difference and audience.

Large organisations will invest heavily in the process of defining themselves in this way, and investigating their markets, to develop strong strategies for commercial development. These processes are costly both in terms of time and financial investment.

This talk sets out to explain the process of developing brand positioning and strategy in a simple step by step way, and then translating those principles into an easy to understand formula. The goal is to illustrate how start ups and small businesses can benefit from strategic brand positioning, but at an affordable scale.

Translating this positioning into concise and effective brand communication is what allows a business to reach out to its target market with clarity and purpose. The talk will set out some simple guidelines on how to work with your creative agency to ensure that you achieve the best results.
