March Business Breakfast 2019 featuring Niall MacCarthy, Cork Airport
Cork Chamber is delighted to host Niall MacCarthy, Managing Director of Cork Airport as the guest speaker at the March Business Breakfast, in association with the Irish Examiner.
As the Managing Director of the Republic of Ireland’s second busiest airport, Cork Airport plays an important role in attracting a strong FDI presence to the region and growing tourism.
Flying high under an empowered local team lead by Niall with strong group backing, Cork Airport has undergone a powerful turnaround in recent years through steady growth in passenger numbers and the arrival of new airlines. With this, Cork plans to be the State’s fastest growing airport in 2019 and is on track to reach 2.6 million passengers this year.
Cork was Ireland’s most punctual airport in 2018 and delivers one of the highest standards of customer satisfaction in Europe as surveyed by passengers who use the facility. Most notably, Cork Airport won the prestigious Airport Council International best airport in Europe in 2017 in the same year as the Airport’s 50-year long ambition of securing direct transatlantic flights from Cork was fulfilled.
Niall is very proud of the team in Cork who have worked with him and local stakeholders on the business turnaround.
