About this Event
Our MC Maia Dunphy is a Writer and Radio and TV Broadcaster. Maia took part in season two of the hugely successful RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars.
Her first venture on screen was From Boom to Maternity which she wrote and hosted for RTÉ as part of the Reality Bites series. Her second documentary Merlot & Me was the highest rating Reality Bites series that year. Maia released her book, The M Word which provides light relief for mothers who are fed-up with their mundane lives of feeling under pressure to do it all while running on two hours’ sleep.
Dr Tara Shine is co-founder and Director of Change by Degrees, a social enterprise that inspires people to live & work more sustainably. She spent 20 years as a climate change negotiator and adviser on environmental policy at the international level. Tara is a science communicator, author and TV presenter.
Sandra Murphy is an award-winning, deep-set expert in fashion and textile design with over 20 years of experience working at an international level, including stints at global brands Victoria’s Secret and Gap and multiple lecturing roles. Sandra’s hands-on experience working with sustainable materials began in 2005 while in New York but now based in Ireland, she has turned her focus towards fashion’s future under the circular economy. Sandra developed AFORE AFTER using only certified sustainable materials while also incorporating new innovative technologies, such as virtual try-on and resale
Dr Susan Steele from Ireland has a solid background in fisheries management and control. She has been Executive Chair and CEO of the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority of Ireland since 2013. Before that, she was Head of Innovation at the Seafood Development Centre and Head of Aquaculture and Business Training in Ireland´s Seafood Development Board. A mum of 7 she splits her spare time between running a family, running marathons, ultra marathons and sea swimming. “The sea has huge potential, both economic and health -wise”. COVID related restrictions
As we’ve communicated along the way, we need to abide by current guidelines, as well as our venue’s protocols. As such, please be aware of the following, and we thank you in advance for your kind cooperation:

All in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated.

A vaccination passport or an HSE vaccination card, along with photo ID, will be required by the venue upon entry. If you cannot be vaccinated on medical grounds, the venue will also accept a GP letter if submitted in advance.

Masks must be worn when moving around the venue. Masks are not required when seated or when eating/drinking.
Admittance & Running Order
The event kicks off at 7.30pm, and since it’s being live-streamed, everyone must be seated no later than 7.20pm. Please allow plenty of time to arrive and find your seat before then. Thank you very much for your consideration in this matter.
Parking
Complementary parking is available in The Kingsley car park. When you arrive to the hotel, turn right and car park is straight ahead of you.
