Nurturing the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
As part of the InterTradeIreland All-Island Innovation programme, the Department of Management & Marketing, CUBS (UCC) wish to announce our final innovation event of in our 2021 series. This innovation event will comprise of a series of live and pre-recorded seminars, exploring how the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem can be nurtured and the role the Universities has in achieving this.
This Innovation Seminar series will be delivered online, with a live Master Class taking place daily from Wednesday 1st December to Friday 3rd December 2021, supported by a number of pre-recorded sessions.
The provisional schedule for the event is as follows:
Wednesday December 1st (10-11am: Live): Professor James Cunningham (Newcastle University): Academic Entrepreneurship: The PI Role and Impact Challenges in achieving regional impact
Thursday December 2nd (3-4pm: Live): Professor Nola Hewitt Dundas (Queens University Belfast): Businesses are from Venus, Academics are from Mars’: How can they interact for co-advantage
Thursday December 2nd (pre-recorded): Dr. Sarah Lubik (Simon Fraser University, Vancouver): Pre-recorded conversation on the SFU entrepreneurial ecosystem and its enabling initiatives for its academics and wider region.
Friday December 3rd (10-11am: Live): Professor Riccardo Fini (University of Bologna): Disruption from university-labs: How science impacts entrepreneurship
