Pathway to Innovate: Regional Innovation Clinic 

A hands-on, expert-led regional clinic that helps SME leadership teams accelerate innovation by clarifying priorities, stress-testing ideas, and leaving with practical next steps and connections to the right supports.

The innovation clinic is designed for SMEs from across all industry sectors - including but not limited to manufacturing, technology, digital, engineering, MedTech, and food, services, pharma etc — who are actively planning or pursuing innovation in their products, services, processes, or business models. These companies are growth-oriented businesses with commitment to entrepreneurial change and innovation and who want to embed innovation and entrepreneurial practices into their organisation, build their own capacity and access the supports to help them achieve their goals.

Format & Agenda

Duration: 8:30am–1:30pm

  • 8:30 - 9:00 - Registration, Tea/Coffee, Networking 
  • 9:00 - 9:15 - Welcome, Introductions & Agenda
  • 9:15 - 10:00 - framing – goals, context, expected outputs
  • Innovation diagnostic / challenge definition; what problem are we solving and why now
  • 10:00 - 11:00: Innovation lab/workshop – facilitated exercises (ideation, prioritisation, value, feasibility)
  • 11:00 - 11:20: Networking Break
  • 11:20 - 12:30 : 90-day plan build – actions, owners, timelines, risks, and metrics
  • 12:30 - 1:00: Q&A & Plan Review
  • 1:00 - 1:30: SME Speaker / Regional Support Discussion 
  • 1:30 - 1:40: Close & follow-up path – next milestones, optional workshops/masterclasses
  • 1:40: Lunch & Networking
