Legendary dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch’s unique creations transformed the language of dance, offering visual and emotional experiences like no other. Moving and immersive, the Oscar-nominated documentary takes the viewer on an evocative, visually stunning journey of discovery into a new dimension: straight onto the stage with the legendary ensemble and follows the dancers out of the theatre into the city and the surrounding areas of Wuppertal – the place, which for 35 years was the home and centre for Pina Bausch's creativity. A feast for the senses, PINA is a moving, immersive and beautifully shot tribute to modern dance.
 
Triskel Arts Centre is delighted to have Inma Pavon Dance, which is part of choreographer and dance teacher Inma Pavon's work, involved in the screening on Monday 12th September.
From the doors opening time at 6pm, there will be a screening of a short dance film made during pandemia by Inma in collaboration with four of her dance students from Inma Pavon Dance.
 
Accompanying this will be a series of live choreographed improvisations pieces within Triskel Christchurch. The dancers will be improvising a series of dance choreographies created at weekly classes.
 
The short film will also be shown from 7.55pm for the screening on Wednesday 14th September, but without the live dance accompaniment.
