''Showtime'' Fundraising Concert for CUH Charity
Cork University Hospital Charity, in association with CIT Cork School of Music will present ‘Showtime’, a fundraising concert taking place on Sunday, 17th April at 7.30pm in the Curtis Auditorium at the CIT Cork School of Music.
The lineup for the concert which will be hosted by Evelyn Grant, RTE Lyric FM will include Mary Hegarty, internationally recognised Cork Soprano, John O’Connor and the CSM Wind Ensemble, Voiceworks Singers, the CUH ‘Scrubs’ Workplace Choir and The Polyphonics. The concert is directed by Voiceworks coach and singing star, Jean Elliott, along with her colleague at Voiceworks, tenor Ryan Morgan. The event promises to be a highly entertaining evening, with a well-known and well-loved repertoire of classical and musical theatre for everyone to enjoy.
Funds raised from the event, will go towards supporting the Patients’ Art Programme at CUH, where music is enhancing patients’ well-being in healthcare and in hospital settings. The aim is to purchase a piano to assist invited musicians, therapists and choirs, including the 70 strong voluntary CUH workplace choir, to perform for patients, visitors and staff.
