Cork Chamber has been designated an SDG Champion (2024-2025) by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, recognising our commitment to embedding the UN Sustainable Goals (SDGs) across our organisation. AbbVie has been present in Ireland since 1974 and operates across six locations, including five manufacturing plants, employing 2,900 people. The Cork site is targeting GHG Net Zero by 2030. Jim McGrath is the Head of Finance for the Cork site, with full responsibility for the finance function on-site.

Alicia leads the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the Value Chain REEValue project, funded by the European Commission. Additionally, she serves as a central, cross-functional lead for all Chamber sustainability activities, collaborating closely with the senior management team and the Sustainability Committee. Alicia holds a PhD in Environmental Science and has been designated as a 2025 Climate Ambassador by An Taisce.
