Sustainable Cork Programme: Leadership in Sustainability
It has never been more evident that leadership in sustainability is required to manage a company’s operations with environment, society, and long-term sustainable development goals in mind while maintaining financial performance! The business case for sustainability is compelling and cannot be side-lined in the face of current global economic, social, and environmental pressures.
This session will highlight how Irish SMEs are grasping the business case for sustainability and are engaging in transformation and leadership for action to achieve change across all aspects of business operations.
Speakers include:
Opening remarks by Anne Moore - Sustainability Manager, Gas Networks Ireland
James McManus - Managing Director, Earth’s Edge, certified B Corp and first SME winner of Chambers Ireland Business Impact Awards 2021
Sinéad Hickey - Chair of Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Council and Head of Sustainability Ireland & Europe, John Sisk & Son (Holdings) Ltd.
Speakers will look at how Chambers Ireland Sustainable Development Goals Toolkit can support as a framework to shape decision making for SMEs. Best-in-class companies will also touch on the merits of sustainability reporting frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Certified B Corporation depending on the level of a company’s sustainability maturity.
The Sustainable Cork Programme Webinar Series is in association with Cork Chamber Skillnet, Gas Networks Ireland, KPMG and Matheson.
