Talent Management in the Evolving World of AI: The Time is Now

Talent Management in the Evolving World of AI: The Time is Now

Talent management can be defined as your end-to-end people strategy, encompassing brand and hiring, managing and developing, and engaging and retaining. Within each, artificial intelligence can reduce tasks requiring lesser skill and higher time, and optimize critical people processes around development, performance, reward and more. Have you had the opportunity to truly think about what you should (not could) be doing now, to remain people-led, but become AI-driven?

Per the global Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), ‘while AI is already established and present in a variety of applications – including HR information systems, spreadsheet software, learning platforms, as well as search engines and social media apps – recent developments have made hugely powerful AI technology accessible and readily available. People professionals need to lean into the technology and support their people in adopting and using these tools to ensure responsible and ethical use’. Here in Ireland, Skillnet’s recent research ‘Ireland’s Talent Landscape 2024’ revealed that over 60% of businesses stated their workforce would need up-skilling in digitalisation (including AI) and sustainability, to navigate complex modern challenges and remain competitive.

During this September Conexion.ie® and Cork Chamber Skillnet not-to-be-missed event, let’s bring together diverse Cork leaders steering business, people management and HR/L&D, to collectively join the dots around:

- The evolving relationship between Talent and AI, and the potential impact on job roles
- With technological Talent AI insights, remove fears and build your confidence in using AI
- The ethical, legal and other challenges associated with increased Talent AI adoption

Objectives:
- Connect with AI, business and people profession thought leaders and disruptors
- Engage in lively table sessions to decide on your talent management AI actions
- Discover tangible panel takeaways regarding what else AI should be done now

Panel Discussion:
Marie Toft, CEO & Co-Founder Emotionise AI

Marie enjoyed an international career as a senior TV executive and documentary maker before returning to university to study psychotherapy. Today she has combined her story-telling and psychotherapy experience to create Emotionise AI – which helps build better relationships at scale. Their innovative Generative AI model EIMEAR helps users create authentic, consistent communications built on empathy and company values. Their solution transforms communications for Customers and Employees by focusing on emotional intelligence – the new power skill. Emotionise AI has built the only Gen AI domain model trained with emotional intelligence at it core, by creating its own emotionally intelligent data created and curated by its data creation team.

Ray Crowley, Director of AI & Automation, Trend Micro

A technologist with over fifteen years of leadership experience in the cyber security industry, Ray has successfully led teams working in the domains of enterprise applications, data science, and business transformation. He believes that applications powered by large language models have the potential to transform commercial and social interactions in ways that we have yet to imagine. At this event, Ray will both present and join the panel to discuss practical applications, implications, and challenges of AI in industry.

Siobhán Long, Director of People Development at Eli Lilly Kinsale

She previously held HR Management roles at Motorola and Janssen, working internationally for a period of time.

In her current role as, Siobhán oversees the strategic implementation of talent development programs, and leadership training initiatives. Her approach is centered on aligning talent management with business goals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and preparing organisations for future challenges.
