The Humans (15A) [+Short Film]

The Humans (15A) [+Short Film]

106 minutes - United States 2021 - Dir: Stephen Karam
Starring: Beanie Feldstein, Richard Jenkins and Amy Schumer

Having just moved into their downtown Manhattan apartment, youngest daughter Brigid and her boyfriend Richard are hosting the family for the first time. Desperately in need of some renovation, the apartment unsettles the out-of-town family members with its creaks and groans. Particularly Erik, the somewhat timid patriarch who feels ill at ease away from the suburbs of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and in a city whose constant noise and activity never stops. But everyone tries to make the best of the situation. As the evening progresses, the family is forced to face up to generational differences and life in a new age.

“An extraordinarily well-acted, uncomfortably intimate look at a family at Thanksgiving” The Guardian

+Short Film: A White Horse (11 minutes, directed by Shaun O’Connor). 1970s Ireland: A scared and confused young girl enters a phone booth and rings home. Her parents are waiting for the call, and we soon discover a hidden truth. This short film will support Lamb.
