The Importance of a Wellbeing Strategy: Supported by a Culture of Health & Safety

The Importance of a Wellbeing Strategy: Supported by a Culture of Health & Safety

Join this informative session in partnership with Adare on the key principles to consider when designing an Organisation Wellbeing Strategy and why Health & Safety processes can boost employee welfare

In Adare’s latest workplace survey, the HR Barometer Series 8.1*, Organisations across Ireland reported their absenteeism rate for 2023 was 8.2%, which is a concerning 2.5% increase from 2022. 66% of Organisations reported that they provided sick pay benefits that exceeded the statutory minimum requirements.

The survey further revealed that short-term absenteeism was increasingly related to Mental Wellbeing, Work-related Stress and Back Pain. This data suggests underlying issues with the support an organisation provides in context of Good Working Practices.

Adare consultants will discuss the key principles to be considered when reviewing an existing or developing a new Wellbeing Strategy. Ensuring your strategy is not only well thought through, but also communicated and implemented effectively, will help mitigate any potential Health and Safety risks.

Key features to be discussed at the webinar include:
• Components of Wellness considering the organisation and the employee
• Potential partner considerations when putting your strategy together
• Critical importance including fiscal value of, or metrics to use in your Wellness Strategy or Charter
• Implementing a practical Health & Safety policy and culture

A practical Wellbeing Strategy and a strong Health and Safety culture will help you meet several legal requirements and support your compliance.

Speakers:
Amanda Finnegan, Head of Retained Services, Adare

Paul Marson, Senior Health & Safety Consultant, Adare
